Natsupoi and Saori Anou Relinquish Goddess Tag Titles

The Goddess of Stardom Tag Team champions have returned their belts to STARDOM due to Natsupoi’s injury

By: James Carlin

Announced today at STARDOM’s press conference for Nagoya Big Winter, the Goddess of Stardom championships have been vacated. This comes alongside the decision of Natsupoi’s meltear partner Tam Nakano giving up the World of Stardom championship, concomitantly vacating the company’s top singles belt in the process.

Natsupoi was said to be taking away from in-ring action at the beginning of October as she heals from a cervical herniation. On SNS, the High-Speed Fairy clarified that it was not caused by any lingering injuries, and that she was advised by both the company and her friends in Cosmic Angels to step away from wrestling so that she can heal up. Prior to her injury, Natsupoi had been going through an electric summer, during which she competed against Chihiro Hashimoto in Sendai Girls.

Her tag team partner Saori Anou has continued to perform during the period of Natsupoi’s absence – she recently went to a time-limit draw against Wonder of Stardom champion MIRAI at Gold Rush yesterday night.

Today’s press conference also had Divine Kingdom, winners of the Goddess of Stardom Tag League, make an appearance. They claimed that they were the current champions by default from winning the Tag League and that their first defence will be at Nagoya Big Winter on December 2nd.

Coincidentally, Utami Hayashishita and Saya Kamitani were both announced to be returning to the ring at the press conference, which may indicate that AphroditE could challenge Divine Kingdom for the vacant championships at the start of December.

STARDOM is Plagued By Injuries. Here’s a Recap.
