The team of the former GHC Heavyweight Champion Kaito Kiyomiya and Ryohei Oiwa defeated the BC War Dogs in today’s Korakuen show at the beginning of New Japan Pro Wrestling’s World Tag League. Gabe Kidd and Alex Coughlin took both men to war, but the Fighting Spirit of Kiyomiya and Oiwa shone through the walls of Korakuen Hall.
They represent the future of professional wrestling, as both have expressed on countless occasions. Their determination and drive are what move them, and even with the merciless Bullet Club on the hunt, we don’t call Kiyomiya the “Supernova” for nothing.

Kiyomiya and Oiwa’s team formed during the G1 Climax season and quickly has become somewhat of a student-teacher dynamic, despite both men being the same age or so. It’s interesting to see Kiyomiya in New Japan once again, even considering his tough campaigns this year, which have given him both good and bad results. Let’s see if the team of Kiyomiya and Oiwa can win the World Tag League this year, and let’s see what the response will be from Pro Wrestling NOAH’s roster.
