Tam Nakano Vacates World of Stardom Championship

The World of Stardom championship is vacated for only the second time in its history

STARDOM has announced that Tam Nakano will be relinquishing the Red Belt to focus on healing up her leg. This comes after she suffered an injury on October 9th in her title defence against Natsuko Tora at Nagoya Golden Fight.

This marks just the second time in the championship’s twelve year history that it has been vacated, with the first vacancy coming in February 2015 when champion Yoshiko was stripped of the title after her match at Queen’s Shout.

A one day “Right to Challenge” tournament has been put in place, where the winner will face Suzu Suzuki, who has a guaranteed title match, at Dream Queendom for the vacant World of Stardom title.

However, there is a caveat: Hazuki has challenged Suzu Suzuki for November 28th at Korakuen Hall for her “Right to Challenge”, which means that Suzuki must win this match on the same day of the provisional tournament if she wishes to keep her chance at becoming “the face of the pro-wrestling world”.

Update 11.21.23: Hazuki vs. Suzu Suzuki will now take place at Nagoya Big Winter instead of next week’s Korakuen Hall show. Source.
