Natsupoi Wants to Beat “Stepping Stone” Allegations

By: J. Curbelo

Natsupoi is furious at Wonder of Stardom Champion Mina Shirakawa’s attitude towards her challenge for the belt. The former teammates will face off on STARDOM’s May 4th show in Fukuoka for the championship, but Shirakawa seems to be more focused on Tam Nakano’s red belt, wanting to hold bold titles at the same time— A feat only achieved by Mayu Iwatani in 2017.

The current Artist of Stardom champion (With partners KAIRI and Saori Anou) felt ignored as the Bouncing Venus’ first defense, claiming that she only sees her as a stepping stone to get her desired match against Tam. Natsupoi felt that she was taken for a fool and taken advantage of, which is “the most detestable behavior in the fairy world” as she said with bitterness in her voice.

Both Natsupoi and Shirakawa have been at the center of multiple faction turmoils in STARDOM, the former betraying Donna del Mondo to join Cosmic Angels, and the latter amicably departing from Cosmic Angels to form Club Venus as a proper unit. Despite Natsupoi’s actions in the Summer of ‘22, she dared to call Shirakawa a traitor. Shirakawa, on her own, expressed that she felt Natsupoi robbed Tam away from her, which amongst various things was a factor in her leaving to lead her own faction.

With the complex bonds these two have interconnected between each other, their white belt match next week is set to continue the trend of the Wonder of Stardom Championship being determined by the most emotional rivalries in the company.
