Full Matchcard Announced for Hana Kimura Memorial Show

By: J. Curbelo

After a gradual announcement of the roster over the last few months, Kyoko Kimura held a press conference before a Sendai Girls show to reveal the match-card of Pinx, Hana Kimura’s third memorial show on Tuesday, May 23rd. The order of the matches will be revealed as they take place on the show.

Firstly, some participants for the annual battle royal were announced, with a few of them remaining as “X” surprises for the show. Chihiro Hashimoto will compete as well, after winning last year’s edition in tag team form. Afterwards, a singles match between Saori Anou and Miyuki Takase was announced, with each wrestler amicably expressing their desire to do their best and win, but having a pose-off at the end. They were followed by Mika Iwata of Sendai and Mio Momono of Marvelous. The duo had a tense handshake as they set out to face Aja Kong and her mystery partner. Kong said that no matter who’s next to her, she will do whatever she can to achieve victory.

The next match to be announced was a six-woman tag team match involving VENY (a.k.a. ASUKA), Syuri and Natsupoi against Konami, Rina and Kaori Yoneyama. For this match, only VENY and Konami were present to talk about their expectations. VENY expressed excitement about having the unusual chance to face STARDOM wrestlers, while The Submission Sniper -wearing a jacket that Hana used to wear for conferences like this- confirmed that this will not be a reunion of Tokyo Cyber Squad.

Konami explained that, while all being TCS members, they are walking their own separate paths as wrestlers. For that reason, she wants everyone -Hana included- to see the current form of all three. She added that by the time the show takes place, the ban on cheering in Japan will be fully lifted, and she expects fans to cheer loudly.

Finally, an altercation took place between Masao Hanabatake and Ryo Mizunami as they are scheduled to face each other in a four-way tag team match to determine who is the biggest brother among all “Big Brothers”. Mika Iwata got involved in the scuffle, managing to almost scare Hanabatake away before being dragged away from the ring.

In addition, Good ol’ Hana Kimura (Sakura Hirota in Hana cosplay) will reprise her role this year against a surprise opponent. “Hana-chan” participated in the first show’s battle royal, and went on to have an extensive gauntlet match in the second event.

To sum up, here’s the match-card in list form.
