First Match of Hot ShuShu Debut Show Announced

By: J. Curbelo

Joshi puroresu is beaming with opportunities and emerging talent like it hasn’t in years. Following the debut of endeavors like Super Delfín’s 2point5 Dimension and AJPW’s Evolution Joshi Pro, Ice Ribbon is also investing into developing new talent from the ground up with Hot ShuShu, a spin-off promotion headed by retired wrestler Chiharu.

Hot ShuShu had a pre-launch event with two matches in the Ice Ribbon Dojo last April 12th featuring veteran wrestlers, along with comedy segments and a dance routine. The first proper show will take place at Shin-Kiba 1st RING on May 14th. According to Ice Ribbon social media, anyone is accepted in the promotion regardless of age, background, gender or more; but there’s a special attention to recruiting and developing new wrestlers with no prior experience.

A crystal clear example of Hot ShuShu’s vision has been made evident with the announcement of five trainees, one of them being 27 year old Yuzuki, who will be making her wrestling debut next May. Yuzuki is a member of Share Kano, a lesbian-exclusive sex service provider company, whose process to become a wrestler has been documented by Tanny Mouse and Yoshiko Tamura on their shared YouTube channel.

Yuzuki’s match was the first one, and only at the time of this report, to be announced for the upcoming show, and she’ll face the much more experienced Yuki Miyazaki of Pro Wrestling WAVE. Despite the challenge, it won’t be the rookie’s first time in front of a camera. The new 173-centimeters-tall athlete has been featured in multiple TV shows documenting her line of work, and she also took part in several different events as a stage presenter.

Yuzuki reported her venture into professional wrestling last February, expressing her excitement about her new journey and warning her usual customers that her schedule would be affected, as confirmed earlier this month when she explained that she would be solely focusing on training during April. She reassured followers that she’ll do the best she can to handle both careers in parallel and make a living with them.
