As the calendar ticks closer to Forbidden Door, the AEW Women’s World Champion, Thekla, has been stirring the pot. The Toxic Spider took her most direct shot on AEW Dynamite, going so far as to spit on the STARDOM logo.
Thekla appeared on the microphone, flanked by her Triangle of Madness allies, Skye Blue and Julia Hart. Thekla announced her violent intentions for her former promotion:
Last week I made a promise to myself that if one person from STARDOM comes to AEW, I would burn that company down to the ground, baby! See, when I was in Japan, they used to call me ‘The Idol Killer’ because every single pretty, cutsey, kawaii little girl would make me sick to my damn stomach. So, I had to take them all out. And then, yes, I did get fired from Japan. So now, we have to do it all over again.
…
The Toxic Spider has all her eyes set on Forbidden Door, and whether they come here, or we have to go over there, that doesn’t matter because I’m going to close that door for damn good, baby! And I’m tellin’ ya, I am not declaring war on STARDOM. I am declaring death to STARDOM!
Thekla then scaled a ladder up to where the STARDOM logo was displayed on a LED screen and spat on it. The champion’s disrespectful actions drew the ire of a few STARDOM stars.
The IWGP Women’s Champion, Syuri left a quiet warning:
Thekla…
Starlight Kid expressed her confusion towards Thekla’s actions:
STARDOM President Taro Okada shared his own disgust:
A vulgar, cowardly and shameful act.
I cannot forgive it.
The High Speed Champion, Yuna Mizumori, had similar feelings:
Of all the commenters, Lady C had the most emotive response:
Why on earth would she do that…
I’ve fought Tekla several times, but I’ve never once been able to figure out what she’s thinking.
Even after getting fired from STARDOM and becoming the AEW Women’s World Champion, she’s still so obsessed with STARDOM—isn’t that because she actually likes STARDOM?
It’s so frustrating.
Even when people have left, we’ve kept defending STARDOM.
An individual’s strength may be small, but we’ve defended it together.
STARDOM is our pride.

Forbidden Door is on the horizon, set for June 28th in San Jose, CA. At present, Thekla’s involvement in the event has yet to be announced. However, given her recent actions, a title defence against a member of the STARDOM roster may be in the cards.
