On Day 7 of Pro Wrestling ZERO1’s Fire Festival 2026 at Shin-Kiba 1stRING, Katsuhiko Nakajima and Hayabusa earned their second straight victory teaming together, when they defeated Yuki Toki and Vent Vert Jack.
Nakajima and Hayabusa have been developing a friendly rivalry since their singles match back in March. The duo first teamed together back on May 31st at Nakajima’s XX STYLE ~ IT’S SHOW TIME, in a losing effort to Masato Tanaka and Yuko Miyamoto. After a time-limit draw in their match against Daichi Hashimoto & Yuko Miyamoto on June 28th, Nakajima and Hayabusa got on the same page, defeating Reiya Igarashi & Violento Jack on July 5th.
Currently amid the 2026 Fire Festival, Nakajima and Hayabusa found themselves competing as partners for the fourth time on July 18th, taking on the current NWA International Lightweight Tag Team Champions Yuki Toki and Vent Vert Jack in non title competition. At the 10:45 timestamp, Hayabusa secured the win for his team after hitting a Firebird Splash off the top rope onto Toki for the pinfall victory.
Hayabusa took to social media following the win to say that he’s seen improvements in the skills of Yuki Toki and Vent Vert Jack, but victory is expected when he and Nakajima team with one another. Hayabusa then shifted his focus to the Fire Festival, saying that he needs to win his next two matches if he hopes to advance to the tournament finals.
From Hayabusa via X:
“Thank you for coming to the Shin-Kiba event. I teamed up with Nakajima to face the Toki-Jack tag team. Toki’s determination, spurred on by Nakajima, was on full display, and Jack is, as always, an amazing high-flyer. The two of them seemed to be in better sync than before, and I felt they had grown as a tag team—but when Katsuhiko Nakajima teams up with Hayabusa, this result is to be expected. I still have no intention of losing to you guys. Alright, there are only two events left in the Fire Festival 2026. I have two official matches left as well. I will definitely win both of them to keep my hopes alive for advancing to the finals.”

Both Nakajima and Hayabusa return to Fire Festival 2026 action on July 25th at the Yokohama Radiant Hall. Their remaining matches are must-win situations if they hope to make it to the tournament finals.
With a win over a pair of tag team champions, Nakajima and Hayabusa could eventually set their sights on the NWA Intercontinental Tag Team Championships, currently held by Junya Matsunaga and Tsugutaka Sato after the Fire Festival if they so choose.
