Shin-Kiba 1stRING was the place to be for Day 3 of Pro Wrestling ZERO1’s Fire Festival 2026, with Block A participants Junya Matsunaga and Masato Tanaka both adding 2 points to the scoreboard after their respective victories.

In the main event, ZERO1 World Heavyweight Champion Junya Matsunaga faced off against Up Town Pro Wrestling’s Kuroshio TOKYO Japan. This match was a must-win situation for the champion following his time limit draw with Kuma Arashi during his first match of the tournament. Matsunaga was able to pick up the victory in his 2nd Fire Fest match, using his Bee Sting finisher for the win in (20:22), giving him a total of 3 points thus far in the tournament.

After the event, Matsunaga took to social media to comment on his match with Kuroshio TOKYO Japan and to look ahead at what’s on the horizon for his next match in the tournament. Matsunaga is set to face off against Ryunosuke Nagai on July 4th, who he defeated back in April at the 2AW/ZERO1 event in Chiba.

From Junya Matsunaga:

“I had a really tough time against Kuroshio TOKYO Japan. Managed to pull off a win—now I’m 1-1. Next up: July 4 in Osaka vs. Ryunosuke Nagai. He’s gotten super buff and must be stronger now, so I’m going in to finish him off for real.”

Elsewhere on the card, a special Block B tag team match took place with Hayabusa and Katsuhiko Nakajima teaming up to take on Yuko Miyamoto and Daichi Hashimoto. Neither team walked away with bragging rights with the match ending in a 20 minute time-limit draw.
