Tam Nakano’s In-Ring Return Ends With a Win

Tam Nakano wins her return match after being out of action since October last year due to a knee injury

By: James Carlin

The Top Kawaii of the Cosmos returned to the ring at Supreme Fight 2024 after being absent from in-ring competition for the last four months. A knee injuring suffered during a title defence against Oedo-Tai’s leader Natsuko Tora meant that she was forced to relinquish her World of Stardom championship – she was originally set to defend against Suzu Suzuki in November, but this ended up with Suzuki and Maika main eventing Dream Queendom 2023 for the vacant Red Belt.

Nakano teamed with fellow Cosmic Angels stablemate Yuna Mizumori to defeat Empress Nexus Venus’ Waka Tsukiyama and former Dream H partner Mina Shirakawa, whom she defeated last year to become the second person in STARDOM’s history to hold the Red Belt and the White Belt at the same time.

Post-match Nakano addressed the crowd, thanking them for supporting her and telling them to “Believe in Tam” as “Chapter 2” of the Tam Road begins.

It remains to be seen what her future will hold, but she may be looking to regain her lost Red Belt from Maika, which would be the third singles match between the two – their first in two years and first outside of a 5STAR GP setting.
