Syuri Retains IWGP Women’s Championship In The UK, Title Defense Against Sareee Now Official For June 21st

On June 6th, The IWGP Women’s Champion Syuri travelled to the UK to defend her title against Alex Windsor. The title match took place for Pro Wrestling EVE at EVE 135 in Walthamstow, London. The match came about when Windsor challenged Syuri for the championship on April 27th after Syuri had just defeated Mayu Iwatani to become the new titleholder.

Syuri was able to turn back the challenge of Windsor at the 21:42 mark with a Syu-Sekai and held on to the IWGP Women’s Title.

It was a tough defense for Syuri in the UK but things for her are now going to get much more difficult. With her retaining the belt, Syuri will now go on to face the one person who is laser-focused on becoming the IWGP Women’s Champion and her name is Sareee.

On June 21st at STARDOM THE CONVERSION Syuri puts her IWGP Women’s Championship against Sareee. This huge match-up will take place at Yoyogi National Stadium.

Sareee has made it publicly known that she was extremely unhappy that she didn’t get the first shot at the IWGP Women’s Title after Syuri won it from Iwatani. One could argue that Sareee definitely should have been Syuri’s first challenger but that all should be water under the bridge now as Sareee gets her opportunity against Syuri on June 21st.

One of Sareee’s goals for 2025 is the win the IWGP Women’s Title and she is expected to go all out to accomplish that goal. Syuri had better be prepared because she could be in for the fight of her life on June 21st in Yoyogi.
