19 Year Old Marvelous Star Senka Akatsuki States That She Is Not Intimidated By Mayu Iwatani Or Utami Hayashishita

At 19 years old, Marvelous blue chip rookie Senka Akatsuki burst onto the Joshi Puroresu scene back in Oct. 2024 has been been electrifying fans ever since. With less than a year of experience, she has proven that she is destined to be a superstar.

She has developed a rivalry with Marigold young superstar Seki Yamaoka. Akatsuki and Yamaoka are expected to be the future of Joshi Puroresu which could result in a very long feud between the two that can last one or two decades.

One aspect that Akatsuki possesses that adds to her enormous potential is the confidence she has in herself. This was apparent in a recent post she made concerning a six woman Marvelous vs Marigold tag team match that was announced today. It will be Mayu Iwatani, Utami Hayashishita & Yamaoka representing Marigold taking on the Marvelous team of Akatsuki, Takumi Iroha & Sora Ayame.

Akatsuki took to X and went right after veterans Iwatani and Hayashishita. She stated that despite them being top stars, she is not intimidated at all by Iwatani & Hayashishita.

Finally arrived! Mayu Iwatani and Utami Hayashishita may be at the top level, but I am not intimidated at all and Senka Akatsuki has to do it here! And again with Seri Yamaoka. Don’t think you can win again. Since that time, I’ve experienced various battles and have always been conscious of it. I will win! There’s no other option!

The Marigold vs. Marvelous feud has been highly competitive. Iwatani, Hayashishita & Yamaoka vs Iroha, Akatsuki & Ayame has the potential to be the best match of rivalry to date. Marigold fans can expect fireworks on June 17th.
