After failing to capture the ROH Women’s World Championship last week, Syuri battled back into the winner’s column at ROH Global Wars Night 2. Meanwhile, fellow STARDOM competitor made her return to ROH against AEW’s Queen Aminata.
Having lost to Athena in the main event of last week’s episode, Syuri was back in action against Athena’s protege and ROH stalwart, Billie Starkz. Starkz’s scrappy, high-risk style made for a physical contest between the two women. Syuri’s technical expertise led her to victory. Having worked on Starkz’s arm for much of the match, the IWGP Women’s Champion secured a victory with a head-trapped armbar, forcing the submission.
Coming up, Syuri has a title defence against Natsupoi on July 18th. Then, instead of competing in this year’s 5STAR Grand Prix, Syuri is set to go on an American excursion later this summer, along with Ranna Yagami, Hazuki and Fuwa-chan. So, it might not be too long before fans see Syuri on ROH once again.
Elsewhere at ROH Global Wars, HANAKO made her return to the promotion, last seen there in December 2024 at the Hammerstein Ballroom. While enjoying a size advantage over most of the STARDOM roster, HANAKO was much more evenly matched against Aminata. Both women hit hard in this bout, but it was Aminata’s Off with Her Head running kick that finished HANAKO off.
STARDOM will be represented at Forbidden Door this coming weekend as Starlight Kid challenges Thekla for the AEW Women’s World Championship, and Maika faces Skye Blue in a Survival of the Fittest qualifier on the Buy-In.
