NJPW have announced the first matches for the upcoming Tanahashi Jam 2. Produced by President Hiroshi Tanahashi himself, the event is bringing together different parts of the puroresu world, with performers from other promotions set to feature on the card.

A big trios match will see TMDK divided and teaming with outside talent. Zack Sabre Jr. and Kosei Fujita will link up with DDT’s Takeshi Masada. They will face the trio of Hartley Jackson, Ryohei Oiwa and Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Kaito Kiyomiya. Sabre Jr. has strong links to DDT, and is set to face Shinya Aoki at DDT Ultimate Party on November 3rd. Meanwhile, Fujita and Masada have a close friendship and have teamed together in the past. On the opposite side, . Oiwa and Kiyomiya have a strong connection, with Kiyomiya having a strong influence on Oiwa’s time in NOAH.

Shun Skywalker is set to make his first defence of the of the NJPW World Television Title against Toru Yano. The two have been at each other’s throats since Skywalker took the belt from Konosuke Takeshita in late September.

The wrestling world collides again in an all-star eight man tag. On one side, the House of Torture will be represented by SHO, SANADA, Yujiro Takahashi and Yoshinobu Kanemaru. They will face the quartet of Yuya Uemura, Aaron Wolf, the living legend Tatsumi Fujinami and DDT’s Kaisei Takechi. Takechi has had past encounters with HoT, having faced them at last year’s Purge Night of Torture event. He also teamed with Uemura and Shota Umino at Wrestle Kingdom earlier this year.

Speaking of Umino, he will also be in action at NJPW Tanahashi Jam 2. He will be in singles action against Axe Wang. Wang is a Taiwanese wrestler who appeared at NJPW’s Taiwan show back in 2024. He has also spent time training in the New Japan Dojo. As one of the most prominent faces in the Taiwan wrestling scene, this is set to be a huge international clash.

It has also been announced that there will be a Monster Rambo at Tanahashi Jam 2. None of the competitors have been announced, but NJPW’s statements hint at the ‘monster’ match being filled with heavyweights and powerhouses.

As such, the card so far looks like this:

• Zack Sabre Jr., Kosei Fujita & Takeshi Masada vs. Ryohei Oiwa, Hartley Jackson & Kaito Kiyomiya
• NJPW World Television Title: Shun Skywalker (c) vs. Toru Yano
• SHO, SANADA, Yujiro Takahashi & Yoshinobu Kanemaru vs. Yuya Uemura, Aaron Wolf, Tatsumi Fujinami & Kaisei Takechi
• Shota Umino vs. Axe Wang
• Monster Rambo

NJPW Tanahashi Jam 2 is set for November 19th in Korakuen Hall.
