Kouga Says He Will Show Kaito Kiyomiya & Yoshiki Inamura How to Make Money for Pro Wrestling NOAH

By: Ian McCord

Since returning from excursion to compete in this year’s N-1 VICTORY, Kouga has made quite an impact. Upon reboarding the Ark where he declared that he was NOAH, the 26-year-old had shed his TEAM 2000X colors and the OWADASAN name that came along with it.

During his excursion, a new “Big Three” was dubbed in Pro Wrestling NOAH, with Kaito Kiyomiya, Yoshiki Inamura, and OZAWA taking their place at the forefront of the promotion as the leaders of this new generation. However, something about this hasn’t been sitting right with Kouga, who has been vocal in his criticisms towards the Big Three since returning.

Kouga’s criticism reached new heights on October 20th in Hodogaya, ahead of his and KENOH’s special tag match against Kiyomiya and Inamura at WRESTLE ODYSSEY II on October 25th.

Following a six-man tag match pitting Kouga, KENOH, and Naomichi Marufuji against Kiyomiya, Inamura, and Yuto Koyanagi that ended in a double count-out, Kouga shared some sharp words for two-thirds of the Arks Big Three. Kouga got on the microphone and told Inamura and Kiyomiya that they have been playing it safe as the Big Three. He then made comments about size of the crowd and their ability to draw money before continuing to throw strikes at his elders.

Kouga doubled down on his words in his post-match comments, reiterating his belief that he will teach Kiyomiya and Inamura how to make money and turn NOAH into the number one promotion.

From Kouga:

“Those guys! They have finally gotten fired up, huh?! How about that?! Getting fired up by a junior! It is because they play around with that lukewarm ‘Big Three of the Ark’ act! Even in a small venue like today’s, they cannot sell it out! Is there a future in wrestling in a small venue like this?! I want to wrestle in stupidly huge venues and make stupid amounts of money! That is why I became a pro wrestler! If this keeps up, NOAH is finished! I will make NOAH number one, make the most money in NOAH, and turn it into the number one promotion in the industry! You look pathetic, so I will teach you how to make money!”

The time for talk will be over on October 25th, when Kouga and KENOH battle Kaito Kiyomiya and Yoshiki Inamura in a special tag match at WRESTLE ODYSSEY II at the Ryogoku Kokugikan.
