Anita Vaughan has declared a challenge for the wXw Women’s World Championship held by Chihiro Hashimoto, when she stepped up and demanded the mic at Sendai Girls’ Oct 18 show at Okayama Convention Center.

The match has been decided for Nov 1st by Sendai Girls following Hashimoto’s acceptance of the challenger.

Hashimoto won the belt on Sept 27 in Oberhausen, Germany, beating Kanji in the Femmes Fatales final on night three of wXw’s Pro-Wrestling Grand Prix. Her trainer, Meiko Satomura, presented the belt. Hashimoto also holds the Sendai Girls World Championship, which she defended for the ninth time against Spike Nishimura on Oct 10.

Sendai Girls will run its own show in the same city on March 6, 2027, billed as “Sendai Girls at 16 Carat Gold” at the Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen. The date was announced on May 1. Nothing in the Okayama post says the title match will take place there.

Vaughan and her Hyper Active partner Safire Reed signed with Sendai Girls on July 12 after wrestling for the promotion since April, and both built their careers on the European independent scene. Vaughan knows wXw well. She won Femmes Fatales in 2024 by beating Debbie Keitel, and lost the 2025 final to Reed. On the same Sept 27 show where Hashimoto won the title, Hyper Active lost the World Tag Team Tournament final to Greedy Souls (Brendan White and Danny Jones). On Oct 17 in Fukuoka they beat Manami and Mizunami in the semifinal.

wXw, short for Westside Xtreme Wrestling, is a long-established German promotion whose big shows run at the Turbinenhalle. Its Femmes Fatales tournament began on Oct 1, 2016, and the women’s title followed in 2017. This year the tournament final also decided the belt.

16 Carat Gold is wXw’s flagship event and has run since 2006. Japanese reports say wXw invited Sendai Girls after rating its technique and reliability. wXw announced Hashimoto for 16 Carat Gold 2026, the March event, last September.

On the Okayama card, Vaughan and Reed were booked in the semifinal against Spike Nishimura and Lady Lee. Hashimoto teamed with YUNA against Mika Iwata and Yurika Oka in the main event.
