Skye Blue vs Maika Set for Forbidden Door Buy In As Final TBS Title Spot on the Line

AEW’s Skye Blue will face STARDOM’s Maika in a Survival of the Fittest qualifying match on the Forbidden Door Buy In pre-show on June 28, with the winner securing the sixth and final slot in the TBS Championship tournament on the following week’s Dynamite.

Tony Khan announced the matchup Thursday, completing the field for the vacant title match. Kris Statlander, Hikaru Shida, Harley Cameron, Queen Aminata, and CMLL Women’s Champion Persephone have already qualified. The Survival of the Fittest match on Dynamite will crown a new TBS Champion after Willow Nightingale vacated the title due to injury.

Maika brings significant credentials to the Buy In. A former World of Stardom Champion and Goddesses of Stardom Champion, she is a founding member of Donna Del Mondo alongside Giulia and Syuri, and most recently led Empress Nexus Venus, a stable that disbanded in February 2026. She has not previously competed in AEW.

Forbidden Door takes place June 28 at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
