Tetsuya Naito Reveals He Has Grown Attached To Pro Wrestling NOAH

By: Lewis Carlan

When Tetsuya Natio left New Japan Pro-Wrestling back in May 2025 to become a freelancer, one could guess there was a level of uncertainty as to which ring or rings Naito would be competing in.

After forming Los Tranquilos de Japon with BUSHI, Naito has appeared for numerous overseas companies as a freelancer.

On Jan. 1st, Naito and BUSHI won the GHC Tag Team Championship and the two have been regularly featured on Pro Wrestling NOAH events since that title win.

On June 25th, Naito & BUSHI will make their fourth GHC Tag Team Championship defense against Manabu Soya & Yuki Iino. Then on July 19th, Naito is set to face Kaito Kiyomiya in a high profile singles bout.

On June 24th, a press conference was held as Naito & BUSHI came face to face with Soya & Iino ahead of their tag team championship showdown.

Naito revealed that he has grown attached to NOAH as well as the GHC Tag Team Championship and doesn’t want to let either of them go.

From Tetsuya Naito:

“Since Budokan in Jan., I’ve grown attached to both NOAH and the GHC Tag titles—I can’t let them go. I’ll beat those two tomorrow, prove BUSHI & Naito are NOAH’s top team, then face Kiyomiya on 7/18.”

The bottom line here is that Naito appears very happy in Pro Wrestling NOAH and doesn’t seem to be leaving anytime soon. It will be very interesting to see if this leads to Naito becoming an official member of the Pro Wrestling NOAH roster in the near future.
