Koshiro Asakura Blasts Kazumasa Yoshida and Questions His Responsibility as BJW World Strong Heavyweight Champion

By: Lewis Carlan

Back on April 29th, Kazumasa Yoshida achieved the biggest accomplishment of his career when he defeated Daimonji So for the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Championship.

Now that Yoshida holds the the top title within Big Japan Pro-Wrestling he has inherited the leadership role for the company. BJW is embroiled in a feud with Daimonji So’s “Outsider” faction known as Yosomono.

Yoshida’s last three matches have been multi-man tag team encounters against Yosomono and he has found himself on the losing end each time.

Young star Koshiro Asakura has been Yoshida’s partner for each of the three consecutive losses.

On May 31st, Yoshida & Asakura were defeated by Daimonji So & Daichi Hashimoto in a tag team bout at BJW “DEATH MARKET 90”.

Following the bout, Asakura seemingly had enough of losing and blasted Yoshida in the backstage area. Asakura questioned Yoshida’s sense of responsibility as the top champion in BJW.

From Koshiro Asakura:

“Do you have any sense of responsibility as the champion? Mr. Yoshida, winning the championship belt isn’t the end of the story. It’s not just a piece of jewelry.” (English translation via Deepl.com)

After Asakura left, Yoshida stated he may have to face Asakura before a member of Yosomono presumably for the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Championship.

As of this writing, Kazumasa Yoshida has yet to name his first challenger for the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Championship.

Koshiro Asakura is widely considered to be the future of BJW and odds are he would gladly accept a shot at Yoshida’s title if it was offered to him.

The question remains….when will Yoshida finally defend the BJW World Stong Heavyweight Championship which he won over a month ago.
