ZERO1 Star Hayabusa Vows to Win His Second Fire Festival

On May 28th, Pro Wrestling ZERO1 held a press conference for the upcoming Fire Festival 2026, with competitors from both blocks in attendance to share their thoughts on the tournament before it begins on June 13th.

At the start of the event, last year’s Fire Festival winner Hayabusa, who is competing in B Block this year, was forced to return the legendary Fire Sword to ZERO1 General Manager Megumi Kudo.

After the press conference, Hayabusa took to social media to recap what he said to the press during the event, vowing to win the tournament for a second time and spend another year with the Fire Festival Sword.

“As last year’s champion, I’ve spent the past year racing alongside the Fire Festival Sword. I returned the sword to the GM today, but I’ve grown quite attached to this sword after spending a year with it, and I have absolutely no intention of letting it go. I will definitely win again this year and spend another year alongside the Fire Festival Sword. The fun is just beginning.”

Hayabusa’s first match of the tournament takes place on June 13th, where he takes on rival Katsuhiko Nakajima. If Hayabusa is able to defeat Nakajima, he could gain the momentum he needs to win the 2026 Fire Festival and reclaim his coveted Fire Sword.

ZERO1’s Fire Festival 2026 kicks-off on June 13th at Shin-Kiba 1stRING and concludes on August 7th at Korakuen Hall.
