Pro Wrestling ZERO1’s Fire Festival 2026 begins on June 13th at Shin-Kiba 1stRING, with a big rematch between Hayabusa and Katsuhiko Nakajima set for the opening night.
Hayabusa and Katsuhiko Nakajima had their first singles match on March 20th, with Nakajima picking up the win after hitting his Northern Lights Bomb finisher. Most recently, the two faced off in tag team competition at ZERO1’s event in Urayasu on May 2nd, with Nakajima again victorious, teaming with Junya Matsunaga to take on the team of Hayabusa and Masato Tanaka.
Hayabusa, winner of the 2025 Fire Festival, took to social media to state that he’s looking to avenge his previous losses to Nakajima. Hayabusa added that a victory over his rival will give him the momentum he needs to win the tournament for a second time.
From Hayabusa via X:
“I know how important it is to win the first match of the league season. My opponent in that opening match is Katsuhiko Nakajima. He’s a tough opponent right off the bat, but every fighter in this block is a formidable rival. Maybe it’s a good thing that I’ve been given the chance to settle the score right away. The venue is Shin-kiba 1st RING, just like last time. I’m going to win this one, no matter what. And I’m going to use this as a springboard to win the championship again this year. The real fun is just beginning.”
Fire Festival 2026 is set to begin on June 13th at Shin-Kiba 1stRING with a winner being crowned on August 7th at Korakuen Hall.
