Rina Builds Momentum at STARDOM New Year Stars in Takamatsu

STARDOM headed to Takamatsu for the latest leg of the New Year Stars tour. As Rina closes in on her Wonder of Stardom title match later this week, she gained some much needed momentum against the champion and her stablemate, Konami.

After tapping out to Konami in tag team action earlier in the New Year Stars tour, Rina bounced back in Takamatsu. Teaming with Kikyo Furusawa, Rina managed to score the win against Konami and Fukigen Death. Konami had been taunting Rina as of late, but it was Rina standing tall and making bold statements:

Hey, Konami! That annoying, smug face of yours and that White Belt too… I am going to take them all from you the day after tomorrow. On the 21st, I am going to surpass you. Do not underestimate me! On the 21st, that White Belt will be gone from your waist, and I will make sure you are the one who can no longer talk big.

Elsewhere on the card, Maki Itoh got her first win in a STARDOM ring. She was on the winning side in trios action, as she, Suzu Suzuki and Akira Kurogane defeated Maika, HANAKO and Waka Tsukiyama.

Starlight Kid also continued to build momentum ahead of her challenge for Saya Kamitani’s World of Stardom title. Kid led Neo Genesis to a victory over Saya Iida, Bea Priestley, Momo Kohgo and Yuria Hime. Starlight Kid challenges Saya Kamitani at STARDOM Supreme Fight on February 7th.
