Marigold and Marvelous Take Their Rivalry To New Level Of Intensity At Monday Magic Xtreme Season Ep. 1

The latest season of the Nosawa Rongai produced Monday Magic for Pro Wrestling NOAH debuted on Oct. 6th at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring. Monday Magic. This is the fourth season of the popular episodic Wrestle Universe show which has been titled Monday Magic Xtreme Season.

On Monday Magic Xtreme Season Ep. 1, the Marigold vs Marvelous rivalry took center stage as the feud between the two promotions was taken to another level of intensity with a spectacular bout.

The all-star match saw the Marvelous team of Takumi Iroha, Mio Momono & Senka Ataksuki take on the Marigold trio of Utami Hayashishita, Mayu Iwatani & Seri Yamaoka.

The crowd was electric throughout the bout as all six combatants fought hard to win the match for the respective promotion.

Akatsuki and Yamaoka showed the world why they are expected to be fierce rivals for perhaps the next 15-20 years. The two fought relentlessly and culminated in Ataksuki trapping Yamaoka in an inescapable Boston Crab that Yamaoka refused tap out too.

The Boston Crab was eventually broken up as this masterpiece of a match continued. The non-stop action packed bout went the full 2o minutes and ended in a draw and left both team exhausted.

All six warriors had backstage post-match comments after their classic battle and expressed their frustrations that the match ended in a draw.

From the Marigold team:

Seri Yamaoka:

“Thank you so much. I really wanted to win today. It was frustrating, but I’m happy just to be part of MONDAY MAGIC. Next time, I’ll come back stronger and take the victory.”

Mayu Iwatani:

“A draw… that’s frustrating. Maybe we got outmatched in teamwork. I’d like to run this back someday.”

Utami Hayashishita:

“Facing Takumi brought back that same heat. Mio’s small but fierce, and Senka was impressive too. Seri didn’t lose. Next time on MONDAY MAGIC, we’ll show how strong we are.”

From the Marvelous team:

Senka Akatsuki:

“I couldn’t finish the match again today. It’s been a long time since I faced Seri Yamaoka, and I really wanted to win—but I couldn’t. It’s frustrating. She pisses me off and drives me to be better. She’s my rival, and I hate losing to her.”

Takumi Iroha:

“Senka, how many times are you gonna say you’re frustrated? If you’re frustrated, then win. This is still a rivalry match, even here on MONDAY MAGIC. Start showing results.”

Mio Momono:

“She’s right—it’s on all of us that we couldn’t close it out. But I do feel a little jealous of Senka having that kind of rival. I want to find mine, too. And yes—I still want Mayu Iwatani’s belt. Beating her for it would mean everything. I won’t forget that.”

While the match ended in a draw, Takumi Iroha, Mio Momono, Senka Akatsuki, Utami Hayashishita, Mayu Iwatani, and Seri Yamaoka greatly succeeded in one major way. They brought an incredible amount of attention to the rivalry and left the fans clamouring for more, much more.

The Marigold vs. Marvelous feud is far from over and quite frankly, it’s just getting started.
