As the holder of the Wonder of STARDOM Title, Starlight Kid had high hopes for the 5★STAR GP 2025 Tournament. Prior to the tournament, Starlight Kid had confidently expressed that she wanted to hoist the winners trophy and then go on to face Saya Kamitani in a double title match.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned for the holder of the White Belt. She finished the 5★STAR GP 2025 with 3-2-2 record and was eliminated on Aug 17th with a loss to rival Natsupoi. Starlight Kid didn’t make it past the block matches which left her very disappointed.

Starlight Kid spoke recently with Tokyo Sports and stated again that she was disappointed but was able to see things that she feels she is lacking as a competitor.
From Starlight Kid:
““As the Wonder Champion, not making it into the top 12 was unexpected and I was really disappointed. But I realized that my block was just that tough. I was able to see a lot of things I’m lacking, and I’m proud of the fact that I fought to the best of my ability as the Wonder Champion.”
Starlight Kid also discussed how she had underestimated Tomoka Inaba which caused Kid to lose to her on the opening night of the tournament.
From Starlight Kid:
“Honestly, I didn’t think she was that strong an opponent. Looking back, that first loss had a huge impact, so it’s no exaggeration to say that it was Tomoka’s fault that I couldn’t win, so I have to get revenge.”
Starlight Kid will attempt to avenge her loss to Inaba as she defends the Wonder of STARDOM title against her on Sept. 6 at STARDOM TO THE WORLD 2025.
