STARDOM were back in Korakuen Hall following their Supreme Fight event in Osaka. Yuna Mizumori and Momo Kohgo clashed over the High Speed Championship, whilst challenges were laid out for some of the other prizes in STARDOM.
The event in Korakuen Hall marked Mizumori’s second defence of the High Speed Title, having previously fended off Yuuki Mashiro in January. Momo Kohgo was making her fourth attempt at the championship, having unsuccessfully challenged AZM, Saki Kashima and Mei Seira for it in the past. Kohgo fought hard, looking to win the first championship of her wrestling career. However, Mizumori emerged the victor.
Following the match, Mizumori had nothing but praise for Kohgo and implored her to keep pushing, saying in her backstage comments:
Momo Kohgo, you were absolutely incredible. No, you’ve become incredible, you know. To have pushed this far without breaking, that’s something. Before the match, you said, “I’m slogging through the mud to build a bright future for myself,” didn’t you? But you know what made me stop being so gloomy? It’s because I stopped slogging through the mud! You don’t need to slog through the mud anymore. Go forward enjoying yourself more, feeling excited, believing in yourself!
In her own comments, Kohgo showed no sign of quitting:
Today, I resolved in my heart: I’ll become an athlete who can run even further and faster, and I’ll take the championship by speed. I’ll strive to become an athlete who can run even further, an athlete who’s faster. I absolutely won’t give up!
Meanwhile, the show opened with an exciting win, as Fuwa-chan scored her first pinfall in STARDOM. The rookie teamed with Hazuki to take on Aya Sakura and Anne Kanaya. Fuwa-chan nailed Kanaya with a shining wizard to secure her first pinfall.
Elsewhere on the show, fans in Korakuen Hall got to see the first official appearance in STARDOM of the Itoh Respect Army. Maki Itoh and Kikyo Furusawa came to the ring with shirts that had ‘Itoh Respect Army’ written on in permanent marker. Furusawa is picking up more and more from her new leader, adding the corner punches into her arsenal, including a call to the fans asking ‘Who’s the second cutest in the world?’
According to Itoh’s post-match comments, more members are welcome to join the Itoh Respect Army:
I made this T-shirt myself. If anyone else wants to join, just buy a plain white T-shirt and write on it with a black marker pen – you’ll be in straight away.
Challenges were made for other titles in STARDOM throughout the night. HANAKO teamed with Waka Tsukiyama to take on Mi Vida Loca’s Itsuki Aoki and Akira Kurogane. Aoki scored a win for her team over Tsukiyama, but the fighting did not stop there. Kurogane and HANAKO brawled at ringside after the bell, briefly being separated before continuing their fight backstage. Amidst the chaos, Kurogane declared a challenge for HANAKO’s Future of Stardom title, with the champion daring her on.
The main event saw H.A.T.E. members in a 6-on-6 tag match. Back at Supreme Fight, Hina had made her intentions on Konami’s Wonder of Stardom title known. In Korakuen Hall, Hina managed to pin the champion. Following the match, Hina made a formal challenge, which Konami gladly accepted. Speaking backstage, Hina shared her disdain for H.A.T.E.:
Right now, it feels like it’s H.A.T.E. versus the other units, and I reckon people are getting a bit tired of seeing that. To break free from this H.A.T.E. versus the other units dynamic, I absolutely must win that white belt.
