The Marigold DREAM★STAR GP 2026 has come to a close at Korakuen Hall with 945 fans in attendance for the event. The current Marigold United National Champion Victoria Yuzuki emerged as the winner of the tournament and added another big accomplishment to her young yet very successful career.
Yuzuki defeated Rea Seto in the finals of the tournament in a match that was nothing short of spectacular. To get to the finals, Yuzauki defeated Yuuka Yamazaki in the quarterfinals and then ended Kouki Amarei’s undefeated tournament streak in the semifinals.
Rea Seto gave an MVP performance in the tournament by getting two shocking victories over Maya Iwatani in the quarterfinals and then submitted Marigold World Champion Miku Aono in the semifinals to punch her ticket to the DREAM★STAR GP 2026 finals.
Yuzuki and Seto went all out as each fought hard to earn the right to hoist the tournament winners trophy. The two young stars have met in the past numerous times with Seto yet to score a singles victory over Yuzuki. Well, for Seto, getting her first win over Yuzuki was not happening on this night as Yuzuki pinned Seto with a Cross Arm Suplex and ended the bout at the 21:24 mark.

Immediately after the bout ended, Rossy Ogawa handed out the Best Bout Awards for each of the four respective blocks. The winning matches were as follows:
After winning the tournament, Victoria Yuzuki, who returned recently from an injury, gave a long in-ring emotional speech:

“I was really hoping to win this year’s DREAM✴︎STAR and shine as the 2026 DREAM✴︎STAR ‘Summer Woman,’ so I’m genuinely thrilled that this dream has come true today. Sitting out due to injury was so painful, but being back in this ring, and receiving these two wonderful trophies, including the… what was it? The Best Match Award… makes me so happy. I came to Marigold to reach the top. I might not be there just yet, but I know I’m taking steady steps along that path. To reach the top of Marigold and make that dream reality, I don’t want to do it alone, I want to achieve it together with all of you. I want us to keep moving forward together. So please, watch over my growth every step of the way! We also have Korakuen Hall on October 10th and the Ryogoku Kokugikan show on October 24th coming up. I hope Marigold reaches more and more people, and I want to be the one leading that charge! Please continue to support Victoria Yuzuki and Marigold!”
Yuzuki has more to say during her post-match backstage interview. She acknowledged that Rea Seto has become one of her top rivals and does not intend to allow Seto to surpass her.
From Victoria Yuzuki:
“I’ve fought Rea Seto with the Superfly title on the line before, and I’ve also fought her with the United title on the line. But from here on, I don’t intend to let Rea Seto surpass me. I want to continue being the wall that stands in Rea Seto’s way, and I also want to continue being a good rival to her. Right now, I’m just happy with the result of winning this tournament. I’m truly happy. That’s all there is to it. I have a lot of goals that I want to achieve for myself going forward, but first, there’s Korakuen Hall on October 10, and after that, Ryogoku Kokugikan on October 24. So I want to work together with everyone to make Marigold even more exciting, and I want to be the one leading the way.”

Yuzuki will now go on to challenge Miku Aono for the Marigold World Title in a match that is expected to be made official in the near future.
