Utami Hayashishita Praises Mio Momono Following Marvelous vs. Marigold Showdown On Aug. 8th Plus Full Marvelous Event Results

Another chapter of the Marvelous vs. Marigold inter-promotional rivalry took center stage at the latest Marvelous event on August 8th inside the famed Korakuen Hall.

In a 5 vs 5 Knockout match, the Marigold team of Utami Hayashishita, Miku Aono, Victoria Yuzuki, Seri Yamaoka  & Komomo Minami faced off against Mio Momono, Maria, Riko Kawahata, Ai Houzan & Senka Akatsuki who were fighting for Team Marvelous. The two teams battled for promotion supremacy in a bout that lasted over forty two minutes. When all was said and done, its was the Marigold unit that emerged victorious on this night as they defeated the Marvelous squad on their own home ground.

The final bout of the Knockout match saw the current Marigold World Champion Utami Hayashishita face off against Marvelous superstar Mio Momono. Hayashishita defeated Momono to secure a 5 wins to 3 victory for Marigold over their rivals.

Following Marigold’s victory, Hayashishita took to X to offer praise to Momono. Hayashishita pointed out that this was the first time they have battled in the ring and she was really moved by Momono.

Mio Momono. Absolutely incredible. If you are Marvelous, then I am Marigold. I can’t lose. Even though it was our first battle, I was really moved. Today Marigold won. Thank you for your support!!

Despite the Marigold victory today, their feud with Marvelous is far from over. It will be very interesting to see if Utami nominates Mio Momono as a challenger for her Marigold World Championship in the near future.

In other action, the AAAW Tag Team Champions Takumi Iroha & Sareee defended their title against the current Sendai Girls Tag Team Champions Chihiro Hashimoto & Yuu aka Team 200kg. The bout between the two evenly matched tag teams ended in a thirty minute time limit draw.
