TJPW Star Yuki Kamifuku Set To Retire From Pro-Wrestling In December, Explains Her Decision

By: Lewis Carlan

Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling announced today that long time star Yuki Kamifuku is set to retire from in-ring competition. Kamifuku will participate in her final bout on December 26.

It was also announced that there will be a Kamifuku-produce event on Nov. 27 at Korakuen Hall.

During a press conference that was held today, Kamifuku explained why she decided to retire.

From Yuki Kamifuku:

“The reason is, it’s not like I’ve got some serious injury or anything, and it’s not like something bad happened either. There isn’t really one specific, clear reason where I can point and say, ‘This is it!’ I’ve always felt that since I was born in Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling, I wanted to retire in Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling. At the same time, I knew I wouldn’t be able to stay in Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling forever. Eventually, there would come a time when I’d have to retire. So when I started thinking about when the right timing would be, I figured I wanted to make that decision when I felt I was at my very best, when I could honestly look at myself and think, ‘I’m looking great. I’m a really cool woman.’ Lately, I’ve been thinking, ‘You know what? I think I’m at my coolest right now.’ So I was like, ‘Alright then, let’s call it a day!’ That’s how I made the decision. Yeah, that’s basically it.”

Kamifuku, 33, made her debut for TJPW on Aug. 26 2017 at TJPW Brand New Wrestling ~ The Beginning Of A New Era. Kamifuku teamed with Yuna Manase in a losing effort to Mizuki & Nonoko in her debut bout.

Kamifuku has been an official member of TJPW since her debut in 2017.

Kamifuku is a former International Princess Champion holding it from Nov. 2020 through May 2021. In addition, she held the Princess Tag Team Champion with Wakana Uehara as Ober Eats from Sept. 2025 through March 2026.
