Titus Alexander Pops Off on Jack Morris Ahead of GHC National Title Bout

West Coast Pro’s Titus Alexander calls shot in NOAH, takes victory in tag-team bout ahead of Shinjuku FACE title showdown

By: Thom Fain

As rain pelted the roof Friday night at Korakuen Hall, GHC National Champ Jack Morris and tag-team partner LJ Cleary had no answer for Titus Alexander – ironically the best-looking guy in the building.

Booked alongside sympathetic journeyman Vinnie Massaro – hardly the picture of youth and athleticism of Alexander – he stood in the corner waiting for most of the match to get his hands on Morris, whose team jumped their opponents from the crowd ahead of the match. Once finally tagged in, Alexander got the NOAH audience on his side with revenge for Massaro, as his opponents suffered through a mix of quick offense and power moves.

Morris and Alexander looked evenly matched if not for the continued outside interference of LJ Cleary. After tagging in, Cleary caught a pair of boots in the mouth from a high drop kick before eating a neckbreaker variation and suffering a rolling suplex / bridge to take the pinfall loss for GLG.

On the win and his time in NOAH at the legendary building at Korakuen Hall, Titus Alexander signaled he’s got more in store for his fans in Japan.

Titus Alexander Comments on Korakuen Hall, NOAH GHC National Title Bout:

“[This’ll be] surpassed by what comes on Wednesday at Shinjuku FACE. My first singles here at NOAH and it’s a title match? That says something – that says that I’m the f***ing best, because I’m here! I’m here to compete in NOAH, and you know what, it doesn’t matter if it’s Japan, America, Ireland… It doesn’t matter, I come to compete. And Jack, I know you like to compete. I’m coming for your GHC National Championship. Sorry Jack, short reign – second defense. You’re done. If you don’t think I’m gonna win not only are you crazy, you must be stupid!”
