Back in October at Nagoya Golden Fight Tam Nakano succesfully defended her World of Stardom championship against Oedo-Tai’s Natsuko Tora. In the final part of the match, she awkwardly landed whilst hitting her Violet Screwdriver on Tora, seemingly injuring her knee in the process. Following the match, Tam Nakano had not given any indication to fans of her condition, and the English SNS for STARDOM cryptically posting “What will happen to the World of Stardom title!?” – the reality was that the Top Kawaii of the Cosmic had to give up her Red Belt to focus on her injury.
Today, Nakano has posted for the first time since her injury and relinquishment of the championship, saying: “I’m alive. I apologise to those who were worried about me and were looking forward to my match at Gold Rush. I was unable to fulfill my responsibility as a champion until the end, and I have a feeling of unworthyness because of it.
I apologize to Suzu Suzuki, who was ready to fight me for my title.
Little by little, I’m beginning to look forward and see what’s next.
Please give me some more time for me to recover.”
With the championship currently vacated, a new champion will be decided at the end of the year at Dream Queendom to see who will enter 2024 as World of Stardom champion.
