Syuri is no stranger to UWF stipulations, having defended her SWA Undisputed Women’s World Title in one, and defeating Saki Kashima in another, as well as defeating Yuu in one at GLEAT in 2020. She’s undefeated in the match type, but she wants another.
The World Class Woman on a Different Level’s plan was to have the match at the next big Nagoya show (“Nagoya Golden Fight”, taking place on October 9th) – with her challenge coming directly after MIRAI’s defence of the Wonder of Stardom championship against Syuri’s close friend Konami – and her proposition was accepted by Mina Shirakawa, leader of Club Venus.

UWF rules state that matches can only end by knockout, submission, referee stoppage or if a wrestler loses all their points (a point is lost if they are knocked down or use a rope break). If there is a draw, the wrestler with the most points wins the match.
With the MMA rules of the match-up, Syuri boasts a clear advantage against the Club Venus leader as a former shootboxer and mixed martial artist, but the recent years have shown an incredible development in Shirakawa’s ability, who has slowly added more hard-hitting strikes and submissions to her arsenal of moves as of late meaning it’ll be more of a challenge to take her down than the former World of Stardom champion may expect.
