Starlight Kid Sets Goal To Win The 5★STAR GP And Face Saya Kamitani In A Red Belt & White Belt Double Title Match

The Wonder of STARDOM Champion Starlight Kid successfully defended her title for the fourth time on May 21st at STARDOM NIGHTER 2025 in KORAKUEN May as she defeated HANAKO in a match that went nearly 22 minutes. HANAKO had a major edge as she stands 31 centimeters taller than the champion, but Kid was able to overcome her disadvantage and pulled out the victory.

Now, Starlight Kid has set a bigger goal for herself. While speaking with Tokyo Sports, Kid had indicated that she wants to win the 5★STAR Grand Prix this year as she has never won a singles tournament. In addition, after winning the 5★STAR GP, she wants to face World of STARDOM Champion Saya Kamitani in a double title match.

From Starlight Kid:

“I’ve never won a singles tournament, so I definitely want to win one this year. I want to win the 5★STAR as the Wonder Champion and create an opportunity to face Kamitani properly again. I don’t want to rush into it (a double title match), but I do hate Kamitani.”

Starlight Kid discussed Saya Kamitani further as she mentioned that she can’t stand how Kamitani is constantly in the media. Kid also pointed out that she doesn’t know if Kamitani is a heel or not.

From Starlight Kid:

“I can’t stand how she’s constantly in the media. I mean, ever since I left and H.A.T.E. was formed, it felt like the group got more villainous, but Kamitani is now in the same position I was in when I was in Oedo Tai and acting like a good girl, and it’s throwing H.A.T.E off balance. Honestly, I don’t know if she’s a heel or what.”

With all the departures recently from STARDOM, the biggest match-up within the promotion right now is a Red Belt vs White Belt double title bout between Saya Kamitani & Starlight Kid. Kid has confirmed that this is her goal and hopes to use the 5★STAR GP to catapult her into that desired match with Kamitani.

Meanwhile, Kamitani has proclaimed that she is currently in class by herself as the World of STARDOM Champion and would most certainly welcome the challenge of Starlight Kid.

The two superstars appear to be headed on a collision course and quite honestly, a match between the two can’t come soon enough.
