Starlight Kid Expresses Sadness After Natsupoi Announces Retirement

The pro-wrestling world was given a surprise on July 23rd as long-time STARDOM superstar Natsupoi announced her retirement with her final match set for Jan. 3rd 2027. Natsupoi, who is married to NJPW superstar Shingo Takagi, stated she is ready for the next chapter of her life.

Upon hearing the news, another STARDOM superstar and longtime Natsupoi rival Starlight Kid took to X and expressed sadness. Starlight Kid stated that her matches with Natsupoi were very important to her.

From Starlight Kid:

It’s really sad to see my rivals go. So many of my matches against Natsupoi were really important to me. I’d love to team up with her or face her again before she retires.

The first time Starlight Kid and Natsupoi stood on opposite of the ring as opponents was back on Oct. 29th 2020 when Kid teamed with Mayu Iwatani in a losing effort to Natsupoi & Syuri. Since that first match, the two have had a storied rivalry throughout the years. Kid and Natsupoi have faced each other nine times in singles bouts and in countless tag team encounters.

Starlight Kid and Natsupoi have battled each other over the Wonder of STARDOM and High Speed Titles. In singles bouts, Natsupoi holds the lead over Kid with four wins against three losses with two draws.

It will be interesting to see if Natsupoi grants Starlight Kid one more match and conclude the great rivalry these two have had for many years.
