Starlight Kid Challenges Thekla for the AEW Women’s World Championship at Forbidden Door

AEW Forbidden Door is two weeks away and after provoking STARDOM time and time again, Thekla’s title challenger has been announced. The Toxic Spider will put her title on the line against Starlight Kid.

Thekla interrupted the broadcast of AEW Summer Blockbuster Collision, insisting that she would not apologise for the inflammatory remarks she made last week, nor for spitting on the STARDOM logo. Later on in the show, it was announced that STARDOM would be sending Starlight Kid to challenge Thekla at Forbidden Door on June 28th.

Starlight Kid competed on today’s STARDOM event in Korakuen Hall, and addressed her upcoming title match:

AEW’s Thekla! I can’t forgive you for spitting on the STARDOM logo and making a mockery of the STARDOM I love, the place where I was born and raised. That’s why I’ve stepped forward. On June 28th at Forbidden Door, I’m gonna represent STARDOM and Japan, and I’m gonna take that top AEW belt from Thekla! Thekla, I won’t let you do whatever you want anymore. I’m going to win the belt and bring it back to Japan, so everyone, please cheer for me from Japan!
