The big news in the world of pro-wrestling on May 26th was Utami Hayashishita making her return to STARDOM after being away for two years.
Hayashishita was part of a mass exodus that left STARDOM in early 2024 and joined Rossy Ogawa’s Marigold promotion. Hayashishita finished her time in Marigold on May 23rd and three days later she found herself back in STARDOM.
The crowd in attendance for STARDOM NIGHTER IN KORAKUEN 2026 MAY event at Korakuen Hall cheered loudly when Hayashishita appeared and chanted her name as she made her way to the ring to confront her former Queen’s Quest ally Saya Kamitani.
As soon as she made her return, fans were wondering what was the status of Hayashishita within STARDOM.
During a post event interview STARDOM President Taro Okada offered clarification to that question by stating that Hayashishita has not yet officially rejoined STARDOM. President Okada also stated that he doesn’t believe Hayashishita will appear anywhere else other than STARDOM.
From President Taro Okada:
“I don’t think she’ll appear anywhere other than us (STARDOM). We’ll watch closely from here and make a decision.”
President Okada issued another comment regarding the return of Hayashishita and stated that he doesn’t consider her an outside enemy.
From President Taro Okada:
“That happens in every world, doesn’t it? I don’t really see her as an outside enemy. She wants to wrestle in STARDOM, so she’s not an invader. What she does from now on is what’s most important. If she wants to go even higher, then let’s go there together. Let’s go take the very top of the pro-wrestling world.”

When asked about a possible singles bout between Hayashishita and Saya Kamitani, President Okada stated it will happen when the time is right.
