Los Tranquilos de Japon & Good Brothers Pick Up Wins at NOAH NEO GLOBAL TAG LEAGUE in Utsunomiya

By: Ian McCord

The third day of NOAH’s NEO GLOBAL TAG LEAGUE took place on May 26th at Light Cube Utsunomiya Convention Center with 427 fans in attendance to witness two A Block matches.

Tag league action started in the semi-main event, with Los Tranquilos de Japon getting the win over Lykos Gym in just over twelve minutes when BUSHI was able to make Kid Lykos II tap out with his “Fable” submission finisher.

During his post-match interview, BUSHI stated that he underestimated Lykos Gym and was surprised at how much they struggled against them. BUSHI then spoke on LTJ’s next match against Kaito Kiyomiya and Harutoki on May 30th, claiming it will be their biggest test in the tournament thus far.

From BUSHI:

“Honestly, that was unexpected. I didn’t think we’d struggle that much against a team like that. I underestimated them, and they made us pay for it. But in the end, we won. They came at us with submissions, and I’ve got my own move I’m proud of — the Fable. I’m glad I got the tap with it. Next is probably the biggest challenge in this block: Kiyomiya and Harutoki. I’m looking forward to facing you at Korakuen Hall.”

Tetsuya Naito also commented on Lykos Gym, calling them an interesting team filled with potential. Naito would also look ahead to the match with Kiyomiya and Harutoki, stating that he’s really looking forward to his first battle with Kiyomiya.

From Tetsuya Naito:

“This was our second match in the NEO GLOBAL TAG LEAGUE, and now we’re 2-0. I didn’t know much about today’s opponents, but they were an interesting tag team. We won comfortably, but they showed a lot of potential. Next is Korakuen Hall against Harutoki and Kaito Kiyomiya. I’ve never faced either of them before, especially Kiyomiya. He represents today’s PRO WRESTLING NOAH, right? I’m really looking forward to it.”

A Block action continued in the main event, with the Good Brothers picking up two more points after defeating the White Raven Squad team of Tetsuya Endo and HAYATA with their Magic Killer finisher at (14:55) keeping them undefeated in the tournament.
