Back on Oct. 13th, So Daimonji won the biggest match of his career as he defeated Daichi Hashimoto to become the Big Japan Pro-Wrestling World Strong Heavyweight Champion.
As he is now the top champion in BJW, Daimonji has catapulted himself into the current face of the promotion, and he appears ready for the crucial role.
Daimonji took to social media and indicated that as the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Champion, he will fight to make BJW incredibly entertaining and to increase attendance. In the post, he included a picture of himself next to a statue that had the words “Boys Be Ambitious” engraved on it.
From So Daimonji:
Strong Heavy & BJW BE AMBITIOUS. What only I can do. What only someone outside the organization can do. I don’t fight just to defend the belt. Because I hold the treasure of BJW. I fight to make Big Japan Pro-Wrestling incredibly exciting. And to fill the seats to capacity. Now then… how shall I invigorate the BJW ring…(Translated with Deepl.com)
BJW may have been struggling with attendance as of late but it was encouraging to see the Chateraise Gateaux Kingdom Sapporo sold out the night So Daimonji won the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Title.
Daimonji has vowed to keep that trend going and seems to be very excited about representing BJW as its top champion. He appears ready to do the work required to bring more eyes onto BJW.
