Seri Yamaoka Wins Her First Singles Title At MARIGOLD SPRING VICTORY SERIES 2026 in Korakuen Hall

April 25th will be a day to remember for Marigold 19 year old superstar Seri Yamaoka as it was the day that she won her first singles title.

Marigold took its SPRING VICTORY SERIES 2026 tour to Korakuen Hall on April 25th as an announced crowd of 756 fans were on hand for the event.

In one of the featured bout, Angel Hayze defended her British Empire Women’s Championship against the challenge of Yamaoka. It was a very evenly contested bout but in the end it was Yamaoka hitting a German Suplex Aioki Clutch combo which was enough to pin Hayze at the 11:41 mark of the match and become the new champion.

During the backstage post-match interview, now former BEW Women’s Champion Angel Hayze congratulated Yamaoka and vowed to come back stronger after taking a short break.

Yamaoka took to social media and issued a heartfelt statement regarding her championship win. She stated she wants everyone to believe that Marigold is in good hands with her in the promotion. She thanked Angel Hayze for the opportunity.

I had a lot on my mind going into this title match, so I reset my mindset and went into the match with a fresh perspective! There are many things I’ve been lacking up until now, but I realized that one of them was my dedication to the promotion. It was Hashimoto-san who made me realize that, and Yuzuki-san who helped me feel it! Pro wrestling can’t be done alone; a promotion won’t rise to the top if I only think about myself. Following her win, Yamaoka nominated her top rival and Marvelous star Senka Akatsuki as her first challenger in a match she hopes will take place on May 23rd at Ota Ward General Gymnasium.
