On August 29th, All Japan Pro-Wrestling held its SUMMER ACTION WARS 2026 event at EBARA WAVE Arena in Ota City. 3068 fans were in attendance to witness the conclusion of the Zennichi Jr. Festival 2026 and Kento Miyahara’s ninth defense of the Triple Crown Heavyweight Title against Yuma Anzai.
The semi-main event of the evening saw the finals of this year’s Zennichi Jr. Festival between A Block winner Seiki Yoshioka and B Block winner Dan Tamura. Yoshioka emerged from A Block with 6 points, defeating Seigo Tachibana to secure his place in the finals. AJPW World Jr. Heavyweight Champion, Dan Tamura, earned his place in the finals by defeating Masaaki Mochizuki in a B Block tiebreaker after both wrapped up block play with 7 points.
In the tournament finals, Seiki Yoshioka toppled Dan Tamura in a hard-fought battle in just over twenty minutes after hitting a Crash Driver on the current AJPW World Jr. Heavyweight Champion for the win. The victory marks the first time Seiki Yoshioka has won the Zennichi Jr. Festival tournament.

In the main event, Kento Miyahara was set to make his ninth defense of the AJPW Triple Crown Heavyweight Title against former champion Yuma Anzai. After defeating Ren Ayabe back in July to secure his eighth defense of the title, Miyahara was confronted by Anzai, who later took to social media to state that he was the driving force behind AJPW and the only one qualified to challenge for the Triple Crown Title.
During their match here in Ota City, both competitors put on a thrilling championship contest that ultimately saw Miyahara retain his title in (31:34) after hitting his Shut Down Suplex for the win. The victory puts Miyahara at nine successful Triple Crown defenses, halfway to the record setting goal he set for himself of eighteen.
During his post-match comments, Miyahara claimed that he and Anzai are now the new top stars and that he plans to continue captivating the wrestling world in Japan with his bright, fun, and intense style before making jokes about his opponent on September 9th.
From Kento Miyahara:
“Starting today, Kento Miyahara and Yuma Anzai are the two new top stars. In September, All Japan Pro-Wrestling will continue to captivate the whole of Japan with bright, fun, and intense wrestling. We’re going for the 9th consecutive title. Now, on to the Royal Road Tournament. September 9—who’s my opponent? (Ogawa Biao) Who’s that supposed to be? Cut the jokes. Cut the jokes.”

The next challenger for Miyahara and the Triple Crown Heavyweight Title will be decided following the conclusion of All Japan Pro-Wrestling’s 13th annual Oudou Tournament, which is set to begin on September 9th at Shinagawa Prince Hotel Stella Ball.
