There was a scary moment today at the Big Japan Pro-Wrestling Event at Korakuen Hall.
In a six man match, Yuko Miyamoto, Ryota Hama & Andy Wu faced the team of Abdullah Kobayashi, Ryuji Ito & Daisuke Sekimoto.
In a little over the eight minute mark, Sekimoto collapsed as his body went numb and he was unable to move. BJW officials tended to Sekimoto before he was taken from the ring by a stretcher and transported to the hospital via ambulance.
In an update given by BJW regarding the condition of Sekimoto, after an examination at the hospital, CT and MRI scans revealed that there was no spinal damage or anything abnormal found.
Sekimoto was able to leave the hospital and return home as the numbness appeared to be only temporary.
Future treatment for Sekimoto will be discussed at the hospital in Yokohama.
Everyone at Monthly Puroresu wishes a speedy and full recovery for Daisuke Sekimoto.
