Saya Kamitani Issues A Warning To New STARDOM Signee Fuwa-Chan

Back on Nov. 7th, former TV star and incredibly popular YouTube celebrity Fuwa-chan made an appearance at the Goddesses of STARDOM Tag League tournament. She was there to announce that she has returned to STARDOM and had officially become a member of the roster.

Fuwa-chan had wrestled twice for STARDOM previously, once in 2022 and once in 2023. In 2022 she competed in a triple threat match in which Saya Kamitani was one of her opponents.

The current World of STARDOM Champion and NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Saya Kamitani spoke with Tokyo Sports recently and weighed in on the signing and return of Fuwa-chan to STARDOM. Kamitani spoke about being in the debut match for Fuwa-chan back in 2022.

From Saya Kamitani:

“I’ve been hearing people say, ‘So her debut opponent was Saya-sama?’ But I look completely different from back then, and I hadn’t even appeared on TV, so I get it. I never imagined that after all this time she would end up joining STARDOM, so I’m surprised, like, ‘I can’t believe our paths are crossing her.”

Kamitani mentioned that she is happy Fuwa-chan has decided to pursue pro-wrestling and feels she will take it seriously.

From Saya Kamitani:

“Out of all the options she had, I’m happy that she chose pro-wrestling. When we fought in her debut match, I felt that she was serious about pro-wrestling, and I don’t think there’s any lie in Fuwa’s words.”

When Fuwa-chan announced she was joining STARDOM to pursue pro-wrestling she was hit with mixed reactions to her decision. Kamitani offered her take on the mixed reactions and how Fuwa-chan can turn the negatives into positives.

From Saya Kamitani:

“The great thing about pro-wrestling is that you can turn negatives into positives. While the details of the incidents are different, I have also sublimated everything negative—causing injury to an opponent, dislocating my elbow during a Plancha, the autograph session incident—all through wrestling. So, from now on, all Fuwa can do is constantly convince the fans through her fights in the ring, right?”

With all that said, Kamitani didn’t mince words when she issued a warning to Fuwa-chan about stepping into the world of pro-wrestling.

From Saya Kamitani:

“Well, but if she does anything to tarnish STARDOM’s name, I won’t forgive her, and if she’s half-hearted about this, Saya-sama will crush her. That will be my time to step in. Hehehe.”

Fuwa-chan had confirmed that her first match is set for Dec. 29th at STARDOM DREAM QUEENDOM 2025 with an opponent to be announced.

It’s only a matter of time before Fuwa-chan and Kamitani face off in the ring again for the first time since 2022. Fuwa-chan is best to make sure she is ready to compete with Kamitani before she accepts such an encounter. Kamitani in 2025 is much more dangerous than the Kamitani of 2022 which is something Fuwa-chan must take into consideration.
