It was about two weeks ago when Sareee made a few harsh comments directed at STARDOM.
Sareee stated that “STARDOM is overwhelmingly lacking in the fundamental essence of women’s wrestling—the fight.” Sareee pointed out that the younger competitors in STARDOM especially lack it.
Sareee has received mixed reactions from fans concerning her comments aimed at STARDOM. The World of STARDOM Champion Saya Kamitani took exception to Sareee’s remarks which led to a social media verbal battle between both stars a little over a week ago.
Sareee spoke with Tokyo Sports recently and explained what she meant by her statements about STARDOM. She feels STARDOM can become the number one promotion in the world and with her involvement, STARDOM can shake the souls of those watching.
From Sareee:
“It’s not that I’m saying STARDOM isn’t women’s wrestling, or that they’re not having real fights. But if they’re going to be called the number one promotion in women’s wrestling, then I think everyone should be putting their life on the line even more. I want to win the IWGP Women’s Championship and light a fire under STARDOM. By my involvement, I believe it can become the kind of promotion that shakes the souls of those watching and become the number one promotion in the world in the truest sense.”
Sareee is set to challenge Syuri for the IWGP Women’s Title at STARDOM THE CONVERSION 2025 on June 21st. The IWGP Women’s Championship is a title that Sareee desperately wants to gain possession of.
If Sareee wins the championship she very much desires, she earn the distinction of being one of the leaders of STARDOM. This will enable her to begin lighting that fire under the promotion she feels can be the best in the world. If anyone can do, it’s Sareee.
