Sareee Hands HANAKO Her First 5★STAR GP 2025 Loss Plus Bozilla Catapults To First Place In Her Block

On Aug. 11, HANAKO entered the 9th night of STARDOM 5★STAR GP 2025 tournament action without suffering a loss. Her opponent for the evening was the IWGP Women’s Champion Sareee who herself was looking to stay on track with her desire to win her respective block.

The bout between HANAKO and Sareee was a Blue Stars B Block encounter and took place at the Kobe Art Centre in front of a sold out crowd. The match lasted 11 minutes and 39 seconds and when the final bell rang, HANAKO had suffered her first defeat of the tournament at the hands of Sareee. HANAKO was forced to tap out as Sareee had locked on a ground octopus for the victory. With the win, Sareee increased her point total to seven.

Bozilla took sole possession of first place in the Blue Stars A Block as she defeated Saya Iida to earn her tenth point of the tournament. Iida, who at 4 feet 9 inches had an extreme height disadvantage against the 5 feet 11 inch Bozilla. Bozilla mocked Iida early on by dropping down to her knees to compete in the match. Iida did well during the course of the bout but a Bozilla sit-down powerbomb proved to be too much and put Iida away for the three count.

Aya Sakura and Konami both were defeated on Aug. 11th and were eliminated from advancing to the next round of the 5★STAR GP 2025 tournament.

Miyu Amasaki, Hina and  Ranna Yagami were all facing elimination for the tournament but all three won their matches and remain mathematically alive.
