The Goddesses of Stardom Tag League continued on in Takasaki for the third day of competition. The main event saw two sides in Red Goddesses looking to catch up to the block leaders, with Aya Sakura and Sayaka Kurara managing to do just that.
Sakurara faced off against the STARS duo of Hanan and Waka Tsukiyama, Hanemoon. Sakurara’s superior tag team chemistry came into play, ultimately leading them to victory as Sakura isolated Tsukiyama. Sakura connected with a bridging German suplex, pinning Tsukiyama and securing 2 points for her team.
After the bout, Sakura also had a stare-down with Hanan, saying something while placing her hand on Hanan’s Wonder of Stardom title belt. In their post-match comments, Sakurara spoke on their goals.
Sakura:
As last year’s tag team champions, we’ll take our responsibility seriously—knowing we’ve been entrusted with headlining the event—and we’ll win the tournament again this year.
And today, Hanan-san looked at me with a more intense gaze than usual. I’ll definitely deliver results in singles competition too, and I’m going to take that belt from her.
Kurara:
Sakura and I are definitely improving as a tag team, but I think we’re also growing stronger as individuals because neither of us wants to lose to the other. As for Hanan-san, who won the belt at Yokohama Arena on the same day I did—between me, who lost it, and Hanan-san, who’s still the champion—there are, of course, a lot of things on my mind.
First, we’ll win this tag team league, and then we’ll keep improving as individuals, aiming for two, three, four, and five consecutive titles!

The victory moves Sakurara up to 4 points, where they are now tied in the lead with Saya Kamitani and Momo Watanabe, as well as Saori Anou and Fuwa-chan. The latter duo had the opportunity to reach 6 points in Takasaki, only to be outfoxed by Kikyo Furusawa and Kiyoka Kotatsu.
Over in the Blue Goddesses, Saya Iida and Utami Hayashishita extended their lead, winning their third bout in a row to reach 6 points. They success came at the expense of Ranna Yagami and Akira Kurogane, with a Hayashishita lariat on Yagami proving to be the deciding blow.
