Rossy Ogawa Reveals If Sareee Will Continue Competing In Marigold

On October 26th, Sareee made her first appearance inside a Marigold ring in over nine months at GRAND DESTINY 2025 when she was revealed as the mystery opponent for Chika Goto. Sareee’s Marigold return was a success as she defeated Goto with a double foot stomp.

Her last appearance for Marigold was back on Jan. 3rd when she was defeated for the Marigold World Title by Utami Hayashishita.

With her return to Marigold now in the books, fans were wondering if we will be seeing more of Sareee, who is currently a freelancer, within the promotion.

Marigold owner Rossy Ogawa spoke with Kakutolog and gave an answer to that question concerning Sareee. Ogawa believes that we will see Sareee back inside a Marigold ring.

Ogawa also touched upon why Sareee as well as Minoru Suzuki were not advertised for the event but only as mystery opponents.

From Rossy Ogawa:

“That’s for Sareee alone to know. (laughs) I don’t know. But after her match, she came to the officials’ desk and said, ‘Please let me wrestle again,’ so I think that opportunity will probably come. Also today, we had big stars ‘M’ and ‘S’—they were so major it was a shame not to announce them beforehand. But well, there are various circumstances.”

Following her victory over Goto, Sareee herself hinted that she will be returning to Marigold if she is asked back.

From Sareee:

“Also, Gochika told me in the ring, ‘Come back to Marigold again,’ so if you guys are calling me, I’ll come. I’m a freelancer and I move freely. I only get in the ring when I want to, making the most of my freedom as a freelancer, and that’s what Sareee’s pro wrestling is all about.”

Sareee was the first ever Marigold World Champion and it’s a safe bet to say she would love to regain that title currently held by Miku Aono.

In addition, with Mayu Iwatani now an integral part of the Marigold roster, Sareee would surely be interested in avenging her April 2024 singles loss to Iwatani when the two battled over the IWGP Women’s Championship.

There are plenty of reasons for Sareee to compete for Marigold again and quite frankly, fans would most likely be very surprised and even disappointed if it doesn’t happen in the near future.
