On May 23rd, New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Best of the Super Jr. day 6 took place at Arcrea Himeji with 1,153 fans in attendance to see a night of exciting junior heavyweight action.
In the main event, TMDK’s Robbie Eagles battled YOH in their fifth career singles match with both men hoping to add two points to the scoreboard.
After a fast paced match, Robbie Eagles was able to put YOH away with his Hyperion finishing maneuver for the win in (18:37) gaining some much needed momentum at this point in the tournament.
During his post-match comments, Eagles stated this is the start of a winning streak, claiming he will win the entire BOSJ, something he has yet to do in his career.
From Robbie Eagles:
“This is the ‘Sniper’s’ winning streak. I won’t lose. I absolutely won’t lose. Because this is my eighth shot at the ‘SUPER Jr.’ title. I’m taking this whole tournament. Remember that!”
