The Pro Wrestling NOAH N-1 VICTORY 2025 tournament which began on Sept. 8th, is heading towards it’s conclusion with the finals set for Sept. 23rd at Korakuen Hall.
There are a few competitors still in contention to win their respective block and head to the tournament finals.
Naomichi Marufuji, who is in first place in the B Block with 10 points, is in the best position amongst all the entrants as he controls his own destiny. If Marufuji is victorious in his block match against Ricky Knight Jr on Sept. 21st, he will head to the finals representing the B Block.
Behind Marufuji are Jack Morris and Galeno with nine points a piece. Morris will automatically earn 2 points due to a forfeit as OZAWA is out injured which will bring his point total to 11. Galeno has a tough match against KENOH that he must win to remain in contention. It will be all over for both if Marufuji wins which is why Morris and Galeno will be rooting for Knight Jr. to upend Marufuji and play the role of spoiler.
If the Marufuji/Knight Jr. match ends in a draw and Galeno loses to KENOH then Jack Morris will win the B Block as he holds a victory over Marufuji in the tournament as they would be tied with 11 points.
In the event Marufuji loses and Galeno wins then we can expect a play-off match between Galeno and Jack Morris as they will both be tied at 11 points. The two met on Sept. 17th in a tournament match that ended in a double count-out draw.
Naomichi Marufuji feels he can emerge victorious on Sept. 21st to win the B Block as per his post-match comments:
From Naomichi Marufuji:
“He’s [Galeno]a monster, a total monster. Today was right on the edge again, but I pulled it off. One more, if I win tomorrow, I’ll be number one in this block, right? I can do it. I can do it!”
The A Block has come down to four competitors and will be represented by either Kazuyuki Fujita, Masa Kitamiya, Kaito Kiyomiya or KENTA as all four have eight points each and are tied for first.
Kazuyuki Fujita got off to an incredible start to the tournament with four consecutive wins but has struggled in last two matches and fell in defeat both times. He will be facing Masa Kitamiya on Sept. 21st in a match that could determine who goes through to the finals.
The current GHC Heavyweight Champion KENTA is facing Tetsuya Endo while Kaito Kiyomiya takes on Daga in the final night of block matches. These are must win bouts for KENTA and Kiyomiya because they face elimination should they be defeated.
If KENTA wins and ends up in a tie with either Fujita or Kitamiya, he will go on to the finals as KENTA holds tournament victories over both of them.
If Kiyomiya wins and ends up in a tie with Fujita or Kitamiya, Kiyomiya will be eliminated as he has lost to both Fujita and Kitamiya in the tournament.
If KENTA and Kiyomiya both win and the Fujita vs Kitamiya bout ends in a draw then Kiyomiya will head to the finals as he holds a victory over KENTA in the tournament.
