Welcome to Puroresu Gate, a weekly feature where we review attendance figures of Puroresu and Joshi promotions in the most well-known venues in Japan. This week, we return to the Shin-Kiba 1st Ring arena. A popular venue among Joshi promotions and smaller Puroresu promotions, this quant little arena was first opened in 2001 and was considered to be the unofficial home venue for World Wonder Ring Stardom for many years.
All Japan Pro Wrestling sold out Shin-Kiba this week for the third night of their prestigious Oudou Tournament while also celebrating their 50th year of business. Ironically, this event was headlined by New Japan Pro Wrestling legend Yuji Nagata going head to head with former Ace of the now defunct Wrestle-1 promotion Shotaro Ashino.
