Pro Wrestling NOAH superstar OZAWA had surgery on Sept. 15 to repair ligament damage in his foot from an injury sustained back on Sept. 8th.
OZAWA was competing against Naomichi Marufuji on Sept. 8 and attempted a Springboard Moonsault to the outside. OZAWA overshot his target and landed hard on his feet and knees. The move resulted in a Lisfranc ligament injury which will cause OZAWA to be out of action indefinitely.
A somber looking OZAWA posted a picture on social media following the surgery from his hospital bed.

OZAWA appeared to have a change of heart from his past villainous actions towards Pro Wrestling NOAH’s fan favourites including Naomichi Marufuji, KENTA, KENOH and Kaito Kiyomiya.
The Team 2000x leader took to social media and apologized to Marufuji, Kiyomiya, KENTA, KENOH and all the other wrestlers and fans for his past actions.
From OZAWA:
“Today, exactly three years after my debut, I underwent ligament reconstruction surgery in my foot. I’m sorry for the trouble and concern I’ve caused to Marufuji, Kiyomiya, KENTA, Kenoh, all the other wrestlers, and all the fans. Perhaps it’s karma, or perhaps it’s the fate of people who speak ill of others. I am reflecting on my actions.”
One has to wonder if OZAWA is sincere in his apologetic words towards numerous competitors or if he is just simply playing mind games with his perceived enemies.
KENOH, for his part, is not buying the apology and kind words towards him from OZAWA as he responded harshly to OZAWA’s post.
From KENOH:
That can’t be true. You can see the smile in his eyes. He hasn’t had surgery or been injured! Come to Osaka on the 17th!
Is OZAWA is ready to turn over a new leaf or is he is simply setting up his rivals for a future surprise attack? Only time will tell.
