Natsupoi and Saori Anou Set For One Last Singles Match on August 23rd at Ryogoku Kokugikan

While the STARDOM 5★STAR GP rages on, a big match has been made on Natsupoi’s road to retirement in January. Natsupoi is now set for a marquee singles match with Saori Anou on August 23rd at the 5★STAR GP finals event in the Ryogoku Kokugikan.

After the pair picked up a win in trios action alongside Anne Kanaya, Saori Anou made the proposition to Natsupoi. Anou presented the knee pad that Natsupoi had left in the ring following her IWGP Women’s Title match with Syuri.

Anou:

Natsumi… you said it. It’s not over yet. You’ve got to have the biggest battle of the century with me, too.

Natsupoi:

Of course I’ll take on this battle. But if I’m going to do it, it won’t be just for the sake of making memories or anything like that. I want this to be a genuine, all-out showdown between Saori Anou and Natsupoi.

Despite being Cosmic Angels stablemates, Anou and Natsupoi have faced off against each other a number of times. They first clashed at a Yumiko Hotta produce show way back in 2016, and faced off a couple times in Actwres girl’Z before making their way to STARDOM. There, Anou defeated Natsupoi in a Indian Strap Match at 2023’s Midsummer Champions event. Then, Natsupoi defeated Anou for the Wonder of Stardom at 2024’s Sapporo Wonder Rendezvous. Most recently, they wrestled to a five minute draw at their co-produced anniversary show last May.
